Red Headed Stranger

On the Road: Willie Nelson's Luck, Texas

My dad recently shared these images with me from his visit to Willie Nelson's "town" of Luck, Texas. A set that was originally created for Willie's 1986 film, Red Headed Stranger, Luck was supposed to burn during the film. According to legend, Willie loved it so much that he persuaded the writers to change the script so he could salvage the set after filming. Today it is the site for his Easter and Christmas gospel services. You can read more about one of them here. Luck has also hosted the Heartbreaker Banquet, a SXSW party, in recent years. How fun would it be to attend one of Willie's gospel services or the Heartbreaker Banquet?

You can like Luck (haha) on Facebook here.
