Hudson Glenn

Hudson

Our nephew, Hudson Glenn Durham, came into the world on Wednesday, July 1 at 10:26 p.m. weighing 8 lbs 3 oz and measuring 20.25 inches long.

His cousin might have been a little jealous during our first cuddle. He kicked a little to remind us that he was present the entire time.

By day three, my mom and sister had already captured Hudson smiling. Doesn't he look like he heard a really funny joke?

He's absolutely perfect in every way. Our family is so, so blessed.

Ready and Waiting

In the very near future, our family will be expanding as we welcome my sister's son Hudson. On September 24th, 29 years will have passed since she joined our family. I have been present for all 29 of those years. I don't really have memories before that day, but I remember the morning of her birthday and meeting her at the hospital. I vividly remember life after her arrival, so I think it's pretty safe to say she changed my life forever.

Almost 29 years later, I suspect this next generation will have a similar effect on our lives. We are ready, waiting and very excited. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers over the next days, weeks and months. They will be greatly appreciated!

Little Sister

One of my very first memories took place on September 24, 1986. I was one month away from my third birthday when my little sister Lauren Victoria came into the world. I remember so many details of that day including getting ready to go to the hospital to meet her for the first time and receiving the Little Tikes car that she brought just for me. That car is now in our attic, patiently awaiting the arrival of the next generation of crazy drivers. On July 7 of this year, Lauren and her husband Chris will welcome their first child and my nephew, Hudson Glenn. I recently made Hudson's first photo album for his gender reveal party, and these photos were some of the many that made the cut. We are very excited about Baby Hudson's arrival this summer.
