Located in Germantown, Tennessee, the studio is independently run by
Crystel Hardin and serves local and regional clients.

CRYSTEL HARDIN

Crystel Hardin has more than 12 years experience in marketing and communications. Since her college days, her passion has been helping nonprofits and small businesses identify the voice of their brands. Before launching the studio in January 2013, she worked in the nonprofit and advertising agency worlds where she honed her marketing, public relations, event planning and communications skills. Four years and one baby later, Gerald & Joan allows her to share her passion for good design with the world.

Crystel is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors degree in print journalism with an emphasis in public relations and minors in English and history. She has been married to her college sweetheart for 10 years and is a mom of a cat, dog and a spirited toddler. She enjoys cooking delicious vegan food, exploring with her family and reading (her personal goal of) 52 books this year.

“Gerald is my husband’s grandfather, and Joan is my grandmother.

In life and in work, I strive to make them proud, so it seemed fitting to

name my business after them.”
